The following amendment was proposed by Saxifrage, Noam, and salex, and placed on the ballot by a majority vote of the board. It was announced and discussed at the 2023 convention and was described in the Secretary’s minutes and published in the September 2023 Engima, and adopted by a vote of the League.

[Change] The last two sentences of Article V. Any member may also send his nomination for any office to the Secretary or the Editor by the same above date.”

It is proposed to amend them to, “It shall be the duty each year of the officers to inform the Secretary or the Editor no later than July 25 whether they intend to run for reelection. It shall be the duty of the Secretary or the Editor to announce no later than August 1 which officers are running for reelection and to request candidates for all officer positions.
